Zia Mahmood & Micheal Rosenberg won the Life Master Pairs event. This week's deal is one of the deals where they scored most of the matchpoints. Rosenberg was declarer in this deal where they did well to play in partial.
Rosenberg received the lead of 8 which was won by South who switched to small trump. The trick went to 3,10,Q & Rosenberg's Ace. Rosenberg immediately played a small and won the trick with Queen when South ducked. Rosenberg continued with 10 which was covered with Jack by North as Queen scored the trick. Rosenberg exited with a which was won by SOuth who continued with trumps. This trick was won by North's King as Rosenberg unblocked 8. North now played 4 which was won in hand by 5. Rosenberg ruffed a next and cashed Ace before exiting with 4. South ,down to Ace and three s, had to discard
a .The was ruffed and Rosenberg exited with dummy's endplaying South who
had to lead into AJ of of dummy.
Plus 140 on this deal was worth most of the matchpoints.
