Robert Levin and Micheal Seamon were defending this deal in Grand National Team, Flight A.
The traditional defence against the type of auction shown is to lead a trump and that is what Seamon did as East.
Declarer won the trick and cashed three rounds of s pitching a from hand.Declarer now played a . Since Levin wanted Seamon to play trumps he ducked !! Seamon won the trick with his queen and played another trump. Declarer won this trick in hand and played
Jack and passed it round to Levin pitching a from dummy. Levin won the trick and shifted to low !! Seamon won the trick with his queen and continued trumps. Now declarer couldn't make his contract as a loser in black suits remained.
Robert Levin defeated this contract as he underled his Ace King in black suits twice. This is not usual. Perhaps Levin was able to this as he expected something from partner after his trump lead.
